Hi,

When I try to send my wife a word-file as an attachment it will arrive
in her Hotmail-account with a ".bin"-extension. What can be done to
make it behave properly and keep the ".doc"-extension?

Best wishes,

I just did a test on a gmail account with a doc file, sending it from my
email server, and it displays properly as a doc file in gmail. In the parts
section of Mulberry, the application type should be msword, and the
encoding should be base64 or automatic. If this fails, you might try
zipping the file before sending it.

Have you checked the Perferences Tab - Sending Attachments. It should
be set to 'UU' encoding, if set to 'HexBin4' it will default to .bin
